Kwandwe is a conservation victory where today thousands of animals including lion, black and white rhino, buffalo, elephant, leopard and cheetah freely roam its expansive plains. With only 4 small lodges on 22,000 ha/ 54,000 acres of privately owned land, Kwandwe ensures a high yield/ low impact conservation model while at the same time offering guests a private and unforgettable safari experience.

With breathtaking views over an acacia, aloe and spekboom-studded valley, the chic and quirky Ecca Lodge is contemporary in design. The 6 privately positioned and spacious suites accentuate the natural splendour that surrounds them. Wraparound wooden decks lead from sitting rooms and bedrooms to private plunge pools and outdoor showers. From 2017, each of the 3 Family Suites will include a private vehicle and ranger.

Daily game drives, walks, boating, fishing as well as specialised safari activities and photographic safaris. Day and night game drives, nature walks, boat cruises and additional safari activities with specialised rangers such as big game walks, rhino monitoring and rhino conservation safaris. Maximum six guests on any activity.

Game viewing is excellent all year round. The warmest months are September to April. From May to August it is cooler. In winter there is a winter schedule to take the colder mornings and evenings into consideration - they also have all-in-one duvet jackets!
